Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Breathly uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.onlinebreathingtool.com (the "Website"). The Breathly mobile app does not use browser cookies; it may use local storage on your device for settings and subscription state—see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They help sites function, remember preferences, measure traffic, and (where enabled) show relevant ads.
2. How we use cookies on the Website
- Strictly necessary: core navigation, security, load balancing, and consent storage where implemented
- Functional: theme (light/dark), breathing tool preferences, and language where stored in the browser
- Analytics: Google Analytics on the Website only, loaded after you accept cookies—not used in the native Breathly app
- Advertising: Google AdSense on the Website only, loaded after you accept cookies; the Breathly mobile app does not show these ads
3. Cookies and tools we may use
Names and lifetimes may change as providers update their services. Typical categories on our Website include:
- Google Analytics — usage statistics (may set cookies such as
_ga,_gid) - Google AdSense — advertising (may set cookies for ad personalization and frequency capping when ads are shown)
- First-party — session or preference cookies for site operation and theme
For Google's use of data, see Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses advertising cookies.
4. Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Strictly necessary cookies are used based on legitimate interest or contractual necessity. Analytics and advertising cookies, where not strictly necessary, rely on your consent where required by law. You may withdraw consent by adjusting browser settings or opt-out tools below.
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie and privacy settings available on the Website (for example, the cookie banner and "Cookie settings" link in the footer), in addition to the browser and provider options in Section 5.
5. Managing cookies
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies (see help for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- Google Analytics opt-out: Browser Add-on
- Google ad personalization: Ads Settings
- Industry choices (US): aboutads.info
Blocking cookies may limit Website features (e.g., saved theme or embedded tools). The mobile app does not depend on these browser cookies.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry response; we currently treat DNT as a preference signal where legally required and otherwise apply this Cookie Policy and your browser choices.
7. Relationship to Privacy Policy
Personal data collected via cookies is also described in our Privacy Policy, including your rights and how to contact us. Premium subscriptions in the app are governed by the Terms of Service, not website cookies.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change technologies or legal requirements. Check the date at the top of this page.
